Erin and I went to the VCU Intercultural Festival at Monroe Park on Saturday. I was a little wary because Monroe Park in downtown Richmond is usually full of homeless people. And at first I thought it would be a dud, but we ended up having a good time!  They really transformed the park. There was a little petting zoo, a moon bounce (full of big kids and college students- Erin did not partake), singing and dancing of different cultures, a train, and lots of food and drink.  We shared some gelato, hung out with the baby animals, rode the train a couple of times, and watched some really cool African dancing.
